Revenge rugby mission for H&F
Jan 14 2010
HAMMERSMITH and Fulham RFC will be gunning for revenge on Saturday when they host an Imperial Medicals side that handed out a derby day drubbing in the reverse fixture earlier this season.
Hammersmith and Fulham were thrashed 69-13 by Medicals in that meeting and the return clash at Hurlingham not only offers the hosts the chance of revenge, but the added incentive of moving to within just two points of the tomorrow's opponents, who currently occupy second spot in London Division Two North West.
Hammersmith have been preparing for the showdown with indoor training sessions at Charing Cross Sports Club, due to the big freeze that claimed their last scheduled match at home to Finchley, a fixture now rescheduled for February 6.
Meanwhile, London Nigerian will be also aiming to bounce back after conceding the best part of a century in their last match at UCS Old Boys.
Nigerian, who currently lie second from bottom in London Division Two North West after taking just six points this season, were thumped 93-0 in their first fixture of 2010.
They face another tough test away to title-chasers Chiswick on Saturday.
Victory for London Nigerian could move them up a place and enhance their survival hopes.
