QPR'S foreign stars need time to adapt to the speed of English football, according to Adel Taarabt.

Real Madrid midfielder Esteban Granero and Marseille's Stephane Mbia are among the raft of new signings made this summer.

However, Rangers are rock-bottom of the table with just two points on the board ahead of Sunday's clash with Everton.

Samba Diakite took a number of games last season to get used to the pace of the Premier League after his January move from French outfit Nancy, and Taarabt insists QPR's new recruits will need more time to get up to speed.

He said: "We have a lot of players it's true but we have foreign players who have not yet adapted to English football.

"For Esteban he tries to get the ball down and play it there - but it has been difficult and we need more time."
