GARY Cahill has been given the green light to begin pre-season training with the rest of his Chelsea team-mates this morning.

The England defender suffered a broken jaw in the Euro 2012 warm-up game with Belgium, which ruled him out of the finals in Poland and Ukraine.

However, the former Bolton centre-back has recovered in time to start sessions at the club's Cobham training base.

Blues boss Roberto Di Matteo said: “Gary Cahill is fine. I'm expecting him to be back in good health and form.”
