ROBERTO Di Matteo admits he does not know whether Didier Drogba will remain at Stamford Bridge next season.
The Chelsea striker is out of contract this summer and has reportedly attracted interest from China as well as Europe, Russia, America and the Middle East.
Shanghai Shenhua have been touted as a possible destination for the Ivorian and the Chinese club are believed to be ready to offer the striker a lucrative move worth £130,000 a week after tax.
The 34-year-old has hit form under interim boss Di Matteo and Chelsea are in negotiations to keep the talismanic frontman.
But Di Matteo has not been heavily involved in the discussions and is unsure of Drogba's future at the club.
“I don’t know,” admitted the Blues chief. “The club will speak with him, that’s down to them. For me, I can’t really comment because I’m not really involved in the discussions.”
When asked if he felt Drogba was still good enough play at the top level, Di Matteo responded positively: “Absolutely,” he said.
