QPR’S manager has left the door open for DJ Campbell to provide the goals he needs – as well as save the club millions in the January transfer window.
Harry Redknapp is monitoring the efforts of Campbell on loan to Ipswich, and likes what he is hearing, after the Hammersmith-born player shot to the top of the scorers’ lists in a struggling Championship side.
The forward who hit 14 Premier League goals for Blackpool in 2010-11 when the Seasiders were in the same dire straits as Rangers are now, is on loan at the Tractor Boys until January.
But if Campbell continues to add to the eight goals he has already – Redknapp will send a fast car to get him back to west London.
“DJ’s out on loan at the moment,” the Rs boss told the Chronicle.
“Of course, we’ll see how he goes, and if he works hard and continues to score, then you never know.”
