CHELSEA missed the injured Juan Mata as they struggled to a draw in Swansea, according to boss Roberto Di Matteo.

The Blues lacked penetration, and also exhibited defensive disarray: as they took an hour to score, then conceded two minutes from time.

Di Matteo (pictured) said: "We missed Juan Mata, but (Eden) Hazard played well, he is good technically and works hard for the team too.

"Victor Moses put a lot of effort in too."

Many criticised Fernando Torres for what was another indifferent performance, but Di Matteo was not one of them. He said: "Fernando played well. but maybe we did not create enough chances for him today."
