GARY Cahill is set to start against his former club as Chelsea look to get back to winning ways against Bolton on Saturday.
Cahill (pictured) has only made three appearances since moving to Stamford Bridge from the Reebok back in January, leading to rumours of a rift with Blues boss Andre Villas Boas.
However, AVB today insisted he is more than happy with his £7million signing, who should return to the side in place of the injured John Terry.
Villas Boas said: “Gary has played the games he has had to play, and I have been very happy with his performances.
“Before the Norwich game, he had only had just two training sessions, and I stuck with the team which had our best defensive record – I didn't want to change the dynamic.
“He then did well against Manchester United, and has done well since, so I am very happy with him.”
Terry is set to be out for five to six weeks after starting rehab on his knee injury today, although Villas Boas is holding out hope that his skipper will be ready to return to action earlier than that.
Fernando Torres also missed training today with an illness, while Jose Boswingwa has picked up a muscle injury, but Juan Mata should be fit to face Bolton after shaking off the effects of a broken bone in his finger.
