Chelsea v Birmingham City
CHELSEA look set to miss captain John Terry for at least one game in their imminent cup double-header.
The talismanic defender, sidelined with a bruised leg bone, has returned to training with the Blues – but he is unlikely to be fit for two games in four days against Birmingham and Napoli.
Boss Andre Villas-Boas said: “John (Terry) is been intermittent in training – he still feels pain in his knee. Today he had a full (training) session for the first time.
“We have to bear in mind the short distance between two games (Birmingham on Saturday, and Napoli on Tuesday). If we have JT for Birmingham, I'm not sure if he'll be able to play both.”
Of Chelsea's returning African stars, the manager said: “Saloman (Kalou) will be back tomorrow (Friday) to be training, back today in London. Didier (Drogba) will be back on Monday to go out (to Napoli).”
