FULHAM have recalled Kerim Frei from his loan spell at Cardiff City.

The 19-year-old winger made just three appearances – two of those coming from the bench – during his short spell in South Wales.

However, injuries to Kieran Richardson, Bryan Ruiz and Alex Kacaniklic means the Turkey international is required back at Craven Cottage as cover.

Boss Martin Jol said: “Frei is back from Cardiff. He can't join us for the next match [at Stoke] but he will probably be involved against Chelsea.”

Meanwhile, young midfielder Alex Smith has signed for League One Leyton Orient on loan.
