BRYAN Ruiz will undergo a second scan tomorrow to discover the full extent of his hamstring injury.
The Fulham forward suffered the problem in the warm-up to Tuesday night's League Cup clash against Sheffield Wednesday, which ruled him out of the 1-0 defeat at Hillsborough.
And the Costa Rican international will have another check tomorrow to discover whether he will be available for Saturday's trip to West Ham.
“We scanned him and we'll scan him again tomorrow,” said boss Martin Jol.
“There's a bit of fluid, which is a bit of a problem because a hamstring [injury] is always tricky.
“We are still working on him. We hope he can play against West Ham.”
However, the Whites should be boosted by the return of left-back John Arne Riise after injury, but Kerim Frei is still sidelined.
