Lady Margaret Summer Fair
BUSINESS-MINDED girls sold handmade goods to help raise money for their Fulham school.
Lady Margaret School’s annual fair on Saturday took on a belated Queen’s Diamond Jubilee garden party theme after pupils designed and made goods such as pillows and cakes.
Estate agent Haus Properties, run by former Apprentice TV show candidate Jamie Lester, donated £1,500 to the proceeds. It will be used along with money raised from the fair to buy school equipment.
The winners of the company’s Entrepreneur of the Year competition, in which year nine students formed a business plan to bring new trade to Parsons Green, were Cecilia Neil Smith and Jojo Wilson-Goldsmith.
They had the idea of a dog show.
Mr Lester said: “We were impressed by all the pupils’ level of ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit in response to the task.
“Cecilia and Jojo were worthy winners because they were the only pair to provide a complete breakdown of their business plan from sponsorship, market analysis and costing.
“You could clearly see their enthusiasm and passion for the dog show and they are qualities which are key to being a successful entrepreneur.”
