Win tickets to see Tanita Tikaram in concert
TANITA Tikaram, the multi-million selling British singer and songwriter, will be performing her first London show of 2013 at Cadogan Hall in Chelsea on Saturday February 2.
The artist shot to fame in 1988 with her award winning album 'Ancient Heart', featuring hit songs Twist In My Sobriety and Good Tradition. Her latest album 'Cant Go Back' is her first in eight years in the UK and was released in September.
It features some of America's most exciting modern soul musicians, and was lovingly crafted by producer Paul Bryan (Aimee Mann, Grant Lee Phillips, Nina Nastasia) at Sound Factory in Los Angeles.
Tanita said: "I've always wanted to write a song like Dust On My Shoes, which will be the first single and is a simple freedom song. The word 'freedom' becomes more and more important to me - in every choice , every political and moral
decision and the attempt to live in a free way I find very moving.
"Can't go Back is the song that best sums up the spirit of the album... the desire to live in the moment and the temptation to revise the past. I cant wait to get out there and start playing the new songs to everyone."
