H&F business champion Robert Iggulden
IN AN attempt to boost the borough's economy Hammersmith and Fulham Council has appointed a new business champion.
With more than 30 years experience as a venture capitalist, Councillor Robert Iggulden has been handed the task of making sure local businesses have a louder voice in council decision making.
In this new role Mr Iggulden will work with businesses to increase employment opportunities for residents, to encourage new start ups and ensure that the borough's high streets remain competitive.
The former stockbroker, said: “My first priority will be to build a pro-business approach in every council department, we need to make it easier for businesses to cut through bureaucratic processes and to listen better to their views on local policy development.
“I will also formally welcome new businesses when they move into the borough, making sure they are connected to the support they need to thrive and prosper.”
The move comes as part of the council's borough of opportunity vision which aims to regenerate key areas.
